The typical Nigerian elders do say, “Everyday na for the thief but one day na for the owner”. This is exactly what played out recently in Adamawa State when security operatives got hold of a notorious car snatcher who is said to have been operating for quite some time now. The Police Command in Adamawa State has confirmed this report and also revealed the identity of the car snatcher in a recent press statement.

DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the Spokesperson of Adamawa state police command, disclosed via a press statement that the recently arrested car snatcher is a 26-year older man who goes by the name Nasir Babale. It was also written in the press statement that the suspect was arrested on Friday 27th of November by men of the Numan police division in Adamawa State.
According to DSP Nguroje’s report, the arrested car snatcher lives around Guyuk LGA in Adamawa State and has been operating for while now before meeting his waterloo recently. DSP Nguroje reported that the suspect was apprehended while he was trying to smuggle a stolen Toyota Corolla sedan out of Adamawa State directly to Taraba state. He is said to have confessed to stealing this Toyota Corolla sedan from an undisclosed location in Jimeta, Adamawa State. Going by the words of DSP Nguroje, all necessary steps have already been taken to ensure that the suspected car snatcher faces prosecution after being tried by a “competent” court any moment from now.
This new report seems to show that the Nigerian police force has been clamping down on car snatching crimes in recent times. Below is a press report video from just 2 months ago when some car snatchers were also nabbed in Lagos.
