Tragedy struck recently when three family members and seven other people lost their lives in a recent fatal car accident that happened along Jebba-Bode Saadu road in the Moro local government area of Kwara State. Media reports claim that two vehicles were involved in this unfortunate road incident that occurred last Sunday around 4 pm at Onipako Village in Moro LGA.

Naijauto gathered that the two vehicles involved in this crash included a Toyota Corolla model with registration number AA 250 CB and a commercial Toyota Hiace bus with registration number LAP 179 AA. Jonathan Owoade, the Sector Commander of FRSC in Kwara State confirmed this incident by revealing that 26 people were involved in the mishap, including 20 males and 6 females.
Owoade revealed that all females involved in the accident died while 15 occupants, all males, were inflicted with serious injuries. He also stated that the corpses of the victims have been deposited at the morgue of the University Teaching Hospital in Ilorin, while those with varying degrees of injuries were taken to Jebba Medical Centre and Emanuel Hospital in Jebba for treatment.

It was also discovered that the victims of this accident were residents of the Okelele community in the Ilorin East Local Government Area of the state. Three of the deceased were members of the Babaladifa Sauta family. Two of them were Alhaji Babaladifa wives. Governor of the state, Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, paid a condolence visit to the families of those that lost their loved ones in the crash.
The governor of the state accompanied by top officials in the state such as the Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistant on Strategy, Security and Religion; Alhaji Saadu Salahu, Alhaji Ibrahim Danmaigoro and Alhaji Muyideen Aliyu respectfully as well as member, representing Ilorin East in the state House of Assembly, Hon. Amuda Jimoh was well received by Alhaji Saheed Sauta Adifa. From what we learnt, the governor was moved by what happened to the families, which made him leave his office on short notice to visit the bereaved.
