Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde buys new cars for OYRTMA, approves staff allowance

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has handed over new cars to OYRTMA to fortify the transport system across the 33 local government areas.

According to latest reports reaching us, the current administration in Oyo State has just acquired new vehicles for the Road Transport Management Authority (OYRTMA). This recent purchase was a required replacement for the operational vehicles that were burnt at the Akinyele Trailer Park, Akinyele Local Government Area of the state’s capital a few weeks ago.

Governor Seyi Makinda has strengthened the operations of OYRTMA by handing new cars to them

The governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has also given approval for the payment of OYRTMA staff’s responsibility allowance. The allowance is for staff that have been working long hours on a daily basis.

From what we learned, the delivery of these newly acquired vehicles was taken by Dr. Akin Fagbemi, who happens to be the association chairman, on Tuesday, at the OYRTMA Administrative Headquarters in Ibadan.

According to the chairman, the new vehicles are a testament to the promises made by the Oyo State Governor in order to enhance daily operations across the state and strengthen the authority as well with the arrival of the new vehicles.

Fagbemi said:

“While we greatly appreciate His Excellency for this great gesture towards the enhancement and smooth running of our operations, we are poised to do even more for the service of a State we so much love”,

“Our officers’ morales are high and I can assure you of more productivity from them. We thank the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde”.

The OYRTMA chairman also showed his appreciation to the current administration in the state for the approval of responsibility and overtime allowances for the association’s staff.
