The Ogun State traffic agency (TRACE) recently witnessed a very sorrowful incident that occurred a few days ago on Boxing Day (Dec 26). Media reports claim that an over-speeding driver literally caused the death of his boss and 2 daughters in a very fatal auto crash. The reckless driver reportedly survived the ghastly accident while his female boss and her two children died on the spot.

According to press reports, this heartbreaking incident occurred at Itako town in the Ijebu-Ife area of Ogun State. The fatal crash reportedly involved an “Overspeeding” Ford SUV and a parked Howo truck which belongs to Dangote PLC. The accident precisely occurred very close to MRS petrol station along Sagamu-Benin road on December 26 (Boxing Day).

Reports say that the driver who caused the recent fatal crash in Ogun State survived while his boss’ wife and 2 kids died
Babatunde Akinbiyi, the spokesperson for TRACE in Ogun State told newsmen that the December 26 fatal crash happened around 12:30 pm during the day. He confirmed that the fatal crash was majorly caused by the over-speeding and recklessness of the Ford SUV driver. Akinbiyi revealed that four victims were involved in the crash, 3 died and only one survived. The dead victims include a woman whose husband stays overseas and has hired the so-called reckless driver here in Nigeria. Unfortunately, the woman died alongside her 2 daughters while the reckless driver survived and he is now in police custody. The Ford SUV involved in the crash had plate number AKD 311 HH while the Dangote-owned Howo truck had plate no. WW 630 XA.
