Imo state mourns the death of 3 young men following an accident in the Oguta Lake region of the South-East state. What really happened? Get the tragic details.

The tourist resort of Oguta in Oguta Local Government area, Imo state, witnesses one of those horror incidents that make one question the meaning of life. This accident in Oguta lake took place on Tuesday, June 11th along motels road close to the resort.

Eyewitnesses recount that it transpired that a group of four friends on a single bike were cruising along the road when the Tipper (popularly called 911) ran into them. Three of the victims reportedly gave up on the spot, while the fourth man survived and could be receiving treatment for injuries sustained.

The ill-fated bike that carried the four friends.

The driver of the Tipper is reported to have immediately fled the scene, perhaps for fear of reprisals. Reports also indicate that such incidents are common around the Oguta Lake area. This has often led to speculations about the spiritual condition of both the Lake and its environs.
