Officers from the police command in Ogun State have nabbed a suspected cult member over the death of one Salaudeen Lawal, who happened to be an auto mechanic. The police have also declared another cultist identified as Bobo wanted, for his alleged major involvement in the murder case.

This information was revealed last Sunday by Abimbola Oyeyemi, who is the Police PRO in Ogun State. Oyeyemi disclosed that the late automobile technician was asked to repair a vehicle around Igbesa area of the state, where the vehicle had developed a mechanical fault.
The police PRO further explained that the mechanic was working on the vehicle when Bobo and other members of his gang accused Lawal of obstructing the road. This led to an argument between the two parties, where Bobo allegedly stabbed the hand of the deceased and also broke a bottle on his head.
As a result, a distress call was put through to the police unit at Igbesa divisional headquarters. In response to that, SP Abayomi Adeniji, who happens to be DPO hurriedly mobilize his men to the crime scene where the victim was taken to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, the mechanic died in the hospital while receiving treatment.

Having realized the crime he had committed, the major suspect in the murder case reportedly fled the scene. Luckily, the police were able to apprehend one of the gang members, who is currently assisting them in their investigation.

In addition, the PPRO further said they have been directed by the commissioner to hand over the case to the Homicide Sector of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for private investigation.
