A Nigerian policeman has been caught on camera while he was receiving a bribe from a Lagos driver.
Naijauto gathered that the drama happened at Igbo-Elerin along LASU-Ojo road, Lagos State.
A guy who boarded the commercial bus had taken the picture at the checkpoint as the policeman was stretching his hand to receive the bribe from the Lagos driver. This has become the tradition of the Nigerian police force whenever they erect any checkpoint on the road.
The eyewitness confirmed it's their usual practice on that route.
They usually demand between ₦50 and ₦100 from the commercial bus drivers.
If a driver delays in paying, they will seize his car keys and keep the passengers, mostly Lagos State University students waiting for hours.
