Over the years, the global automotive industry has been known to be a male-dominated “world” and only a few women have managed to achieve excellence in the industry.

This fact alone makes our heart melt on getting new reports that a Nigerian female engineer has been doing great things in the American automotive “space” over the past few years.

As if that isn’t enough, the talented Nigerian woman – Olabisi Boyle has also recently attained the position of VP of Product Planning & Mobility Strategy at Hyundai Motors in America. Yes, you read that right!


Meet the talented Nigerian female engineer, Olabisi Boyle – the new VP of Product Planning & Mobility Strategy at Hyundai Motors (America)

According to reports, Engr. Boyle will be providing strategic guidance to Hyundai Motors America in matters of pricing, business analytics, market research, and vehicle lineups.

She has reportedly begun working from the new leadership “seat” since Monday 10th of August 2020 and will continue to do so for the company while reporting to José Muñoz – the CEO and president of Hyundai Motors in North America.

Engr. Olabisi Boyle has quite an impressive portfolio of accomplishment and work experience in the automotive industry. Below is a quick highlight of notable ones;

  • Over 20 years of auto industry experience in manufacturing, product strategy, and various other engineering leadership roles at Ford Motor Company as well as Fiat Chrysler Automobile company. Reliable sources claim that she was first the “Chief Engineer” for Dodge Grand Caravan as well as Chrysler’s Town and Country minivans during her period of working for Fiat Chrysler company. She also later became the director of Technical Cost Reduction and Engineering Planning for the automaker during her time of working there.
  • She once served as one of the board members of DAPCEP (Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program) in the United States. She is similarly part of the advisory board members of AutoMobility LA (an Auto Show in Los Angeles, USA).

We cannot list out all of Olabisi Boyle’s accomplishments, titles, and entire work history in a single article like this but rather all we can say is that she definitely makes our heart filled with pride.
