Well, fresh reports have it that the Nigerian Army has now arrested the officer who assaulted the Oyo traffic warden in the video. According to media reports, the assault incident occurred last Friday 7th of January 2022. The incident was captured in a viral video that shows Army officers physically assaulting two male traffic wardens. This assault drama happened at the busy part of Adeoye road linking Ring road in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State. In response to the viral video that captured the incident, the Nigerian Army has now released a statement addressing the case.

Brig. General Onyema Nwachukwu, the director of public relations for the Nigeria Army released the statement which addresses the assault incident. He stated that one army officer (a Lance Corporal) has now been arrested for gross misconduct. Furthermore, the statement claimed that the Nigerian Army is currently working with Oyo State police to “fish out” all other individuals involved in the act.
