A new report has reached us confirming the tragic incident where a freshly graduated medical student preparing for his National Youth Service Corps and his friend were burnt to death in a horrific road accident along Katsina-Dutsinma road in Katsina State.

According to the information gathered, the accident happened on Saturday at around 3 pm, when a Toyota Camry burst up into flame after crashing on the road. The victims of this ghastly road crash have identified as Dr Sadiq Yahaya Zakka, who has graduated from a university in China and his friend Auwal Shehu Danfaranshi.

Serdeeq, who happens to be a friend of the victims, revealed that one of the occupants of the car escaped death and is currently under doctor’s watch at an undisclosed hospital where he is receiving medical treatment.

Meanwhile, this year has been riddled with so many auto crashes. Just recently, nine people were reportedly inflicted with varying degrees of injury last Wednesday in a road crash that took place on the Awka-Nteje-Onitsha expressway in Anambra State.
Balarabe Danlami, who is the cousin of late Dr Zakka, while confirming the unfortunate incident, revealed that the accident occurred when he was travelling in the company of his friend to visit his sister in Dutsinma.

From what we learnt, the late medical doctor’s friend, Auwal Shehu Danfaranshi, who was also in the car, was laid to rest on Sunday 6th of December, 2020, in accordance with Islamic rites.
