We surely cannot overemphasize why driving a supercar is a whole lot different from the regular vehicles out there. Imagine the feeling of wrecking your newly acquired expensive supercar just 6 hours after getting hold of it. This was the case with the owner of ₦163.9m Ferrari F8 Tributo, who crashed his car on a German road.

According to a report, this shocking event took place on the 13th of March, 2021, when the keys to this Italian supercar were picked up by this 43-year-old male driver. We learnt he had to wait up to 12 months before he could get his hands on the car. To our utmost surprise, the owner crashed it travelling on the A5 motorway, totalling the front end of the car.

From the police’s report, the brand new Ferrari F8 Tributo came fitted with summer tires, but the man was driving it on wet roads at the time of the accident. It was also assumed that he was moving at high speed, which was very unsafe considering the type of wheels on the car. At first, the Ferrari crashed into a concrete barrier on the roadside, where one of the tires at the back was ripped off. The Ferrari later ploughed into a minibus before hitting a guardrail and finally coming to a stop on the side of A5.
Luckily for the driver, he didn’t sustain injury from this crash but the other person with him in the car was taken to hospital for treatment. From the picture shared by the authorities, the front end of the car took a big hit, enough to make it barely recognizable. The whole front fascia was ripped off, the hood and front quarter panels were twisted while the wheels and suspension components have been mangled. It's fair to say his brand new car is a write-off.

The Ferrari F8 Tributo is a very powerful car to drive. It is powered by a V8 turbocharged 3.9-liter engine, generating an output of 710 horsepower. Driving such a powerful car on wet roads is something not every driver can cope with.
