The Director General revealed this plan at the official opening ceremony of the first FUSO Truck facility hosted by CFAO assembly factory in Lagos. He said that NADDC pledged to collaborate closely with all the stakeholders in the automotive industry to make sure that the country is able to follow the international movement regardless of the challenges. Moreover, this is a great chance for Nigeria to access to advanced technology in the industry as Nigeria doesn’t want to be slower than others in this worldwide trend.

Jelani also gave FUSO/CFAO motors his congratulation on its new step in the auto market. He emphasized that this was a significant milestone for Nigeria’s auto sector as the first assembly plant of FUSO Truck launched in our country is able to assemble at least 5 units of truck per day.

However, he challenged industry operators to offer more effective solutions for Nigeria’s transportation as most of the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in developed nations are slowly giving up producing conventional vehicles.
