From a new traffic report getting to us, a certain money-seeking thug was recently knocked down by a hit-and-run driver in Lagos. The hoodlum identified as Hassan was knocked down by a driver at Moshalashi Bus-Stop in the Ipaja area of Lagos State. This unfortunate incident happened on Saturday 30th of July, 2022 at the time when the victim was trying to extort money from the driver of another vehicle which broke down on the road.

Hassan was found in a pool of blood after he was hit by the fleeing driver on the road. Badmus Oriade, who is a resident in the area, revealed that the victim was a popular hoodlum, who always extort money from drivers of broken-down vehicles. He added that Hassan was well known in the Ipaja area. Oriade explained that a delivery van broke down in the neighbourhood on Friday and the owners came with an auto mechanic to get the van off the road. He revealed that Hassan approached them and attempted to extort money from them but they refused which made him throw bottles at them. Oriade explained further that Hassan was chased by the car owners when he got hit by a bus while trying to cross the meridian to the other side of the road. It was also reported that the driver of the commercial bus fled the scene as soon as people converged around the victim.

Residents of the Ipaja area in Lagos stated that Hassan was later taken to hospital for treatment after the arrival of the Lagos State Ambulance Service. The incident was also confirmed by Dr Olufemi Oke-Sanyaolu, who is the Director-General of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA). He said the officials were heading back to base when they spotted an adult male lying in a pool of blood on the road. He said the LASAMBUS administered first aid treatment before taking the victim to a hospital.
