Tragedy has struck recently when a 5-year-old boy that went missing was found dead inside a parked car in a compound in Ishiuzor, Egbu Community in Owerri North council area of Imo State, Nigeria.

According to report, the boy was sent on an errand by his parents, only to be found lifeless in the neighbourhood where he went to purchase the sachet water. After a while, the parents of the deceased grew impatient when the boy failed to return from the errand. As a result, a search party was organized for the missing boy. It wasn’t until after the fifth day that his corpse was found.
From what we learnt, it was the same compound he went to buy the sachet water that they found his dead body. This unfortunate discovery enraged the parents of the deceased, who reported the case to the police station. The police have made an arrest on the accused woman and her husband. One of the residents of the community confirmed the story and revealed that the case has been transferred to the homicide session of the State CID in Owerri.

The tragic incident was also confirmed by one Orlando Ikeokwu, who happens to be the spokesperson of the police command in Imo State. He stated that the police had arrested the couple who sells provisions at the compound where the 5-year-old boy was found dead. Ikeokwu disclosed that investigation is currently going on prior to what led to the death of the boy.
