The German automaker, Mercedes, is planning on unveiling its ultra-luxury GLS, Maybach-branded model, before 2019 runs out, with the intention of taking Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Bentley Bentayga’s customers.
The new Mercedes-Maybach GLS is expected to be valued at $184,000 (₦66.7m), with similar luxury experience to the Maybach S-Class.

Major markets for this upcoming Maybach GLS will include North America, Russia and China, featuring special detail of styling compared to GLS (standard), comprising new headlight, different grille, taillight signatures and lots of chrome.

The automaker is yet to reveal further details about the upcoming luxury model, but there is a report that it will come fitted with an extended wheelbase when compared to GLS and multiple of layouts for interior design to meet the needs of its buyers.

For the interior design, the company offers costly materials better than those found in conventional Mercedes models, comprising more exclusive leather hide selection and trim options specifically for Maybach.
2019 Mercedes-Maybach luxury SUV based on new GLS
The luxury model is expected to be equipped with V8 turbo-turbo 4.0-liter and a 9-speed automatic transmission with Air Body Control air suspension. There is also a top-range expectation with this upcoming model, with a V12 6.0-liter twin-turbo engine. For the production version, it will still offer its conventional SUV silhouette.
