British luxury automaker, Aston Martin's recent 98% stock price collapse has brought about quite a tough “financial” time for the company. A recent publication by the popular UK website, Financial Times even confirms that the company has now sacked Andy Palmer - the CEO. However, the real twist of the story comes with new rumors claiming that Tobias Moers, the CEO of Mercedes-AMG, has been nominated to take over Aston Martin.
Rumours claim that Andy Palmer – the CEO of Aston Martin has been sacked and will be replaced soon
We have in the past unraveled many mysteries and facts about Mercedes-Benz that are mind-blowing but never have we imagined that a German Mercedes-AMG boss will be chosen to replace the CEO of a British automaker like Aston Martin. We surely didn’t see that coming at all.
According to foreign news sources, the reportedly sacked CEO of Aston Martin – Andy Palmer told the press that he is unaware of any “sack” and has since declined to give further comment on the topic till now when asked. On the flip side, the communications department of Aston Martin told the press that it is actually making a review of its entire management team currently. That’s more like “read between the lines”, isn’t it?
Rumors: German Mercedes-AMG’s CEO, Tobias Moers will be taking over as CEO of Aston Martin anytime from now
Despite the good intentions and efforts of Andy Palmer during his tenure as Aston Martin CEO; he just seems not to be favored by market valuation especially following the company’s recent 98% share price fall. And as it is already obvious, bad financial times usually force a company’s board of directors to reshuffle or replace executives.
It’s funny how times change because 2 months ago, Andy Palmer was still part of the Aston Martin Motor Show 2020 where the V12 Speedster was revealed.
