The Marina car parks that is situated in Lagos State will in no distant time be transformed into an attractive waterfront via a Public Private Partnership scheme to step up leisure activities in Tourism and Hospitality. The Director General, Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC), Engr.Chidi Izuwah made this known to newsmen after the proposed site for the project was inspected.
The Director General stated that the Quayside car park project will be completely funded by private investors and will be kicking off from Leventis/Apongbo axis and going down to Marina axis.
The news has been announced to newsmen by authorities
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the Marina car park project is a voluntary proposal that was submitted by Harris AIB Associates LTD to the Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing. And Harris AIB Associates is a business company of architects and developers based in Lagos.
The project will bring huge profit from tourism and commercial activities

It will promote the growth of private sector employment from retail and leisure to high skilled occupations in creative, corporate, retail, digital industries and financial services.
It is a transformative urban and water-front development project intended to be a tourist centre that will provide hotels, condominiums, commercial complexes among many other facilities in the city.
If you go to most developed cities in the world, water front are very valuable huge commercial investment, when you go to London, when you go to Sydney, Maryland just to mention.
Waterfront is valuable piece of land which is developed for commercial and housing purposes, creating employment and revenue to the economic units.
The entire Marina car park will be cleared off for new constructions
He also said, it will bring about economic development to Lagos being the country's commercial capital. And Marina is also the commercial hub of Lagos.
As gathered by Naijauto.com, no date has been fixed for the project's commencement.
The Director General described the vision as being powerful and likened it to President Muhammadu Buhari's "Next Level" vision.
And for those occupants around the Marina car park, resettlement plans are on the way to cater for their resettlement.

Representing the Federal Government at the project site is Sarah Alawode, who is the Federal Controller, Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing sector. Sarah said the project was submitted at her ministry and that the federal government has checked its viability and found it to be a good investment. She also said that Lagosians and Nigerians in general will truly be benefitting from it.
