A man has cheated death for the second time after surviving a horrific bus accident that claimed the lives of at least 22 people recently. From what learnt, the man identified as Erwin Tumiri, was one of the six people that survived the LaMia flight 2933 crash that happened on the 28th of November 2016, claiming 71 lives including the entire Chapecoense football team.

From the new traffic report, the incident took place when the bus he was travelling in lost control and went downhill close to the Bolivian city of Cochabamba. The 30-year-old Tumiri was lucky enough to survive the crash but at least 22 people were killed and many sustained serious injuries.

Fifty people were said to be travelling on the bus at the time when the road crash occurred. Tumiri, according to her sister Lucia, only sustained minor injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment at the hospital. He is said to have sustained few scratches on his back and knee injuries.

The surviving victim told local media that he was listening to music on his phone when he heard people screaming. He had to keep his body from moving as the bus fell. Tumiri said he was conscious through the road ordeal and was able to crawl out of the bus when it stopped.
Christian Rivera Rojas, who happens to be the traumatologist at the Arebalo Hospital in Cochabamba where Tumiri has been receiving treatment, revealed that he is stable and will soon be released to go home.
