3 final year MAAU students killed in car crash a day after their final exam

This is a trying time for the families of these final year students who lost their lives a day after writing their final exams. Read the details and send condolence to the families!

The Maryam Abacha American University of Niger, Maradi, has been thrown into a state of sadness and mourning, following a fatal car accident which took the lives of 3 of its students.

Reports gathered by Naijauto says the accident happened on Friday, August 2nd, in the city of Gusau, Zamfara State.

The three students were identified as follows:

  • Muneer Musa Lawal Dare, 22
  • Muhammed Lawal Damau, 20
  • Abdurrahman Babayo, 21

Based on reports, they had finished writing their final year exams on Thursday and on Friday, was traveling back home when they met with the car crash that took their lives.

The school which was founded by Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, wrote a condolence letter to the families of the deceased final year students, with the Founder/ President of the University's signature appended. There, the school community expressed their shock and heartfelt condolences over the untimely death of the students. The statement said, their death was a huge loss to the school, families and the society at large. It ended with a prayer that God should give the families the courage to deal with their loss.
