Recent records of Yahoo boys arrested by EFCC
The rate at which “Yahoo boys” crimes have been ravaging Nigeria’s image is now becoming very alarming. From our records over the past few months alone, we can recount that;
- In July 2019, up to 30 Yahoo boys were nabbed in Ekiti State with eight different expensive cars recovered from them.
- In September 2019, 13 Yahoo boys were arrested in Enugu state and up to 25 LAUTECH students were also arrested by the EFCC on allegations of internet fraud with many exotic cars recovered from both operations.
- In October 2019, we published reports of 18 Lagos Yahoo Boys that got arrested by the EFCC with several expensive phones, cars and charms recovered from them.
We hope the EFCC continues relentlessly and transparently in its effort to rid Nigeria of this Yahoo Boys epidemic soon.
