The Japanese automaker, Toyota has announced an updated version of the 2021 Toyota Supra to be exclusively sold in Japan. This special model is named Toyota Supra RZ “Horizon Blue” and it's expected to feature several cool upgrades.
A special 2021 Toyota Supra RZ Horizon Blue edition is expected to hit Japan auto market soon
A few months back, Toyota officially launched a powerful Supra GT4 with 429hp; now the Japanese automaker is out again with a limited edition of the 2021 Supra model that is exclusive to only the Japan auto market. This new Supra RZ Horizon blue edition shares quite a lot of similarities with the 2021 Toyota Supra A91 model that was recently announced in February for the United States’ market. However, this Japan “exclusive” edition still stands out with a noticeable 3.0-liter twin-turbo BMW B58 engine that outputs 382hp (285kW) and 368 lb-ft of torque.

The 382hp on this Japanese Supra edition is clearly a 14% power boost compared to the 335hp rating of the outgoing model despite having a similar 3.0-liter engine. This boosted power output rating puts the Supra RZ Horizon blue edition in the same class with other popular cars like the BMW Z4 M40i.
The speed of this Japanese Supra model has also been improved to a 3.9 seconds acceleration time from 0 to 60mph compared to the initial 4.1seconds achieved by the previous model. Other notable changes on the new version include the following;
- Added front brace (provides more body rigidity)
- A retuned suspension (better cornering)
- 100 units to get the “Horizon Blue” Limited edition color option
- Standard 8.8-inches infotainment screen (replacing the older 6.5-inch display)
