The newly introduced Lexus Safety System+ for the 2020 models will provide more exciting road protection for drivers
David Christ, Lexus General Manager, said:
"We are working toward preventing crashes before they happen.
That's why we have developed some of the most advanced safety features on the road today, and now those systems will be standard equipment on every model we sell."
This Lexus Safety System+ comprises 4 different technologies.
Pedestrians will be easily detected by its forward collision warning system. In case the warning is ignored or unknown to the driver, the vehicle has the capability of braking autonomously. The lane-departure warning system makes use of audible warnings, camera and hepatic feedback to caution the driver when the car is too distant from the middle of the lane. The adaptive cruise control engages the cameras and radars to equal speeds with the vehicle moving ahead, while the sensor is used by the automatic high beams in keeping it on until it detects an oncoming traffic.
