This is indeed a sad report reaching us here on Naijauto. The news has it that a trailer has crushed female personnel of the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA), leading to death.

Reports say she goes by the name Arogundade Remilekun.

The fatal accident happened on a Sunday around the Apapa area, Lagos.

The unfortunate female officer was working at Apapa Zone 36 when truck hit her

According to a source,

I saw when the truck hit her while it was reversing. The back of the vehicle knocked her down and the back tyres crushed her.

Before her colleagues could notice what had happened, the driver of the truck had escaped from the area. Some of her colleagues took her to hospital and some, who came back later, told us that she was dead before she got to the hospital

Until her death, the late officer, Remilekun was operating from Apapa Zone 36 station base.

We learned that the female officer was standing behind the truck when death struck. The accident happened while the trailer driver was reversing his vehicle.

Eyewitness present at the time of the incident said the truck driver wasn't aware the LASTMA officer was behind his truck. The accident left her dead on the spot.

Her corpse has been taken away from the location of the accident. She died while on duty. This is a tragic accident indeed.
