LASTMA boss inspects all zonal offices where cars and buildings were burnt

The General Manager of LASTMA has begun a state-wide visit to all the zonal offices where many vehicles were vandalized during recent riots. See photos here!

It is undeniably painful that the initially peaceful #EndSARS protest was later hijacked by hoodlums who turned it into riots and caused serious havoc in Lagos State recently. Many governmental and private organizations were badly affected by the riots because the hoodlums repeatedly looted and set fire to all offices and businesses they attacked. Since the riots have now been curbed, many organizations like the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority have begun counting their losses. Reports and photos show that the General Manager of LASTMA is currently on a state-wide visit to all zonal offices that were vandalized by hoodlums during the riots.

Based on press reports, the violent hoodlums recently led the recent Lagos riots visited the LASTMA Zonal head office at Ejigbo Lagos. They looted several valuables and later set fire to several vehicles and part of the office building. Some of the staffs who witnessed the attacked narrated the horrible experience to the General Manager, Engr. Olajide Oduyoye during his recent visit.

The general manager, however, encouraged the LASTMA officials in the attacked office to maintain a good spirit and not be demotivated by the recent riot. He assured the officials that the government of Lagos state feels their pain and promises to rehabilitate the destroyed office buildings. The zonal commander of LASTMA similarly revealed that numerous vehicles were burnt and devasting damages were done by the hoodlums to housing zones 35, 29, 19, 6 and the Agege office of the agency during the riots.
