A Nigerian man on Twitter has sparked outrage after calling out the Lagos state force for allegedly killing his “innocent” cousin when they were pursuing a commercial bus driver. This incident has also been confirmed by a viral video on social media which shows the deceased man covered by blood on the floor while passersby continue to confront personnel of the Lagos State task force for killing him. What’s most saddening about the incident is the fact that various reliable sources claim that the man killed by the Lagos task force was just an innocent bricklayer heading to work.
A Nigerian man on Twitter has called out the Lagos state task force for allegedly killing his cousin who had done nothing wrong
According to the Twitter narration of @datoshodiboi, his cousin named “Dare” was allegedly knocked down by personnel of the Lagos state special task force when they were chasing a Danfo bus in Oshodi, Lagos. He also claims that the incident occurred during the early morning hours at about 5:30 am – 6:00 am on Tuesday 26th of January 2021. The deceased victim Dare was said to be a professional bricklayer going to work that morning when he was knocked down and died right there at the spot.

Ever since the above video has surfaced online, many Nigerians have joined voice with the family of the victim to call out the government of Lagos state to do proper investigation so that justice can be served. There is even ongoing rumour that the police took a long time to release the body of the victim to his family and they have not yet arrested the Danfo bus driver who was being pursued.
