Lagos State government has taken a proactive step in resolving the complaint about the uncovered manhole sighted on the Eko Bridge in Apongbon area of Lagos. This swift response was carried out by the Lagos State Public Works (LSPWC).
The Lagos State Public Works responded quickly in less than 24 hours to the viral video of a manhole on Eko Bridge
It all started with an online user sharing the viral video on social media while stating the possible threats that could be caused by this manhole to commuters plying using that bridge. This was quickly responded to in less than 24hours by the workers from LSPWC.
The manhole when unattended to, will pose a hazard to commuters using the bridge for their daily activities

The LSPWC after acting on the video took to social media to make an announcement on the replacement of the cover of this dangerous manhole.
They shared:
“Last night, the civil work for the reinstatement of the vandalized manhole cover on Eko bridge Apongbon inward Ijora was effected.”
