Lagos State set to shut down Independence Bridge temporarily from motorists for repair works

The Commissioner for Transportation in Lagos State, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, disclosed the objective of this project, which is the replacement of worn-out expansion joints. After which they will lay the asphalt concrete on the highlighted bridge. This according to him will give more strength to the road infrastructure.

Since the state is closing the bridge from road users in order to prevent possible interruptions during the repair work, there is an alternative route, which is the Falomo Bridge, to be used by people in the state to access their destinations.
