Just like Nigerian elders usually say, “every day is for the thief but one day is for the owner”; four members of a certain traffic robbery syndicate has recently played into the hands of RRS (Rapid Response Team) in Lagos. Oh yes, they unknowingly tried robbing security agents who were on a surveillance operation and this led to the arrest of the suspected traffic robbers.
These are the faces of the four suspected traffic robbers recently arrested in Lagos when they tried robbing RRS security agents
According to Police reports, the four arrested suspects were identified and listed as follows with their respective ages;
- Abdulahi Olalere (a.k.a “Orobo”) – 20 years old
- Tote Victor – 19 years old
- Chinadu Okafor – 26 years old
- Adewale Ismaila – 30 years old
Press reports claim that the suspects were arrested on Thursday 25th of March when they attempted to rob an undercover RRS police team somewhere around the Abiola Garden area in Ojota, Lagos. The undercover police officers were said to have been deployed across Lagos state following recent outcries of motorists about the current increasing rate of traffic robberies and attacks in the state. As of the time when the four suspects were arrested in Ojota by the undercover RRS team, one of the culprits confessed to being part of another gang that recently robber several people along Ikorodu road. In fact, it was even more shocking to realize that police reports claim that the same suspect who confessed was just released not long ago from prison after serving 6 months jail term for robbery last year.

What is more interesting about the new police report is the fact that just last month, 8 different suspected traffic robbers were still arrested in Ketu by the same RRS team. This goes a long way to show that security agencies in Lagos state need to put in even more effort to eradicate this menace of traffic robbers terrorizing innocent motorists and commuters.
Below is a press video from last showing the faces of the 8 arrested traffic robbery suspects.
