Jerry Oche, the district manager of NRC (Nigerian Railway Corporation) in Lagos, has confirmed in new reports that the much-anticipated Lagos-Ibadan railway project will be completed before this year Xmas. Mr Oche revealed that all the rail tracks have been laid already but the CCECC company working on the project is yet to finish some of the buildings for the train station.

Mr Jerry Oche further explained that the Lagos-Ibadan railway project was fashioned in such a way that all of its rail tracks will be ready before this year ends. He also revealed that no passenger train operations can be carried out for now because the contractors are still working on the station buildings. He further stated that some overpasses also need to be finished before the Lagos-Ibadan rail transport can become fully operational. Similarly, he mentioned that some underpasses are also yet to be completed or verified for safety by quality assurance teams.
