Renowned South Korean automaker, Kia takes home the 2020 World Car of The Year award with its new mid-sized crossover Telluride model.

All tests have been done with votes counted for the 2020 World Car awards and the new Kia Telluride SUV has bagged the 2020 “World Car of The Year” award. Yes, it eventually beat the Mazda CX-30 and Mazda3 which were among the top 3 cars shortlisted for the 2020 World car award.

This Kia Telluride mid-sized crossover has been enjoying special acclaim ever since its launch and this has greatly contributed to this big win of the 2020 “World Car of The Year” award.

Car lovers might say that the story of this Kia Telluride is kind of similar to how the Jaguar I-Pace won the World Car of the Year award at the New York Auto Show in 2019 also. The love for this Kia Telluride crossover was already obvious when it won in the Utility class of the North American Car of the Year award earlier this year. It was also the “Top pick” of the popular online auto magazine Consumer Reports.

Also, in some other categories of the 2020 World Car awards, the cute Porsche Taycan model took home two awards for “World Performance Car” and “World Luxury Car”. This is a remarkable record because the Taycan actually beat popular car models in each category and some of these cars include the Toyota Supra, Porsche 911 and Mercedes-Benz EQC.
