If Nigerians have Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing, Ghanaians has Kantanka.

We, Nigerians, are often proud enough each time Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing was called by our ears, which is the first and only (up to the moment) all native auto manufacturer in our beloved homeland.

Just imagine how proud we are to feel the same emotions of the Ghanaian as they also have their own car manufacturer on their own land and operated by their own people.

The company we are referring to is named the Katanka Automobile in charged by Kantanka Automobile Company Limited.

The Kantanka Automobile was initially laid a foundation by Apostle Kwadwo Safo, a Ghanaian clergyman and businessman. The tycoon is the head pastor of Christ Reformed Church. Before turning into a pastor, he spent times being trained as a welder.

The Kantanka Automobile was formed as a limited liability company sometime in 2004 with the focused purpose of seeking for the manufacturing of auto components and the combination of these with other parts from component suppliers in order to constitute a whole built unit.

The best thing about the car maker is its products are completely locally produced there in their native land Ghana, which means rarely imported items are allowed in its manufacturing.

For example, its electric vehicle is composed of entirely native parts except for the imported tires and lighting system.
