A frightening moment was captured recently by a dashcam showing how a Jeep Grand Cherokee was struck several times by lightning on the road.
The lightning struck the Grand Cherokee four times, frying its electrical system
The video was taken close to Waverly in Kansas amidst heavy thunderstorms. From the clip, we could see how the Jeep was approaching an intersection when the bolt of lightning hit it instantly. Afterwards, it was struck again by lightning, making it four times in quick succession.
The lights of the Jeep Grand Cherokee went off immediately after the strikes. It appears the electrical systems have been fried from the impact of the lightning. Also, the SUV dropped a bit lower, meaning the tires were blown out as well.
While it was really frightening to watch, it was reported by the cammer that a married couple was in the vehicle with two children of 2 years below and a baby. Luckily, no one was injured or killed in this horrific incident.

One of the scariest things you would imagine is getting struck by lightning. When it happens, one place you would wish to be is inside a car, since the current is usually routed from their metal body to the ground. A lightning test was carried out by one Richard Hammond, who used a Volkswagen Golf for such an experiment. Expectedly, the vehicle was still working well after the test.
