It has often been a well-known fact that Nigeria is blessed with incredibly talented and innovative minds; this has been proven again with the “IYI Celebrity” – a locally-made vehicle recently unveiled by a Nigerian company. The concept and design are reportedly proprietary to the Nigerian engineers and completely original.

According to reports, this indigenous vehicle was completely built with materials that were sourced locally here in Nigeria. The “IYI Celebrity” vehicle was reportedly unveiled by the renowned Europe-trained Nigerian auto engineer, Alex Ephraim Akwiwu, and his indigenous engineer counterparts. The Nigerian-made car was launched at the popular Jeoana Akwiwu Automobile Shop in Owerri, Imo State and it sure caught a lot of attention.

During the unveiling of the IYI Celebrity, Alex Ephraim reportedly mentioned that his auto company actually began the journey of local vehicle production in 2011 and has since employed advanced technology to achieve this great feat.
He noted that the company initially launched its very first vehicle in 2016 with the model name “IYI Combatant” and later in 2017 released an upgraded version of the same car. So, this new “IYI Celebrity” according to Alex Ephraim, is simply a more friendly version of the company’s older models.
