Good news for people living in the eastern part of Nigeria as Innoson Motors launches a new ride-hailing service called “IVM Connect”.
This new platform specifically covers most of the hotspot regions in Eastern Nigeria and its environs. Reports claim that the IVM Connect operates just like other ride-hailing services like Bolt and UBER which are only well-known in the South-Western part of Nigeria.
Innoson Motors launches a new ride-hailing service that majorly covers key locations in the Eastern part of Nigeria.
According to reports by Techpoint, the IVM Connect platform will begin operation with a total of 200 new vehicles and with time bump up the number to 500 while covering most of the populated locations in the Eastern part of Nigeria.
The reports also claim that IVM Connect drivers will be properly trained by the FRSC directly. However, the prospective drivers are also expected to be “tech-savvy” and are able to complete the vehicle’s payment within 2 years through a “Hire purchase” agreement plan. Quite interesting, isn’t it?
In a bid to ensure that drivers are properly onboarded, Innoson has reportedly outsourced the drivers’ selection and registration process directly to a reputable job recruitment corporation. This recruitment company is said to have already created a mini web portal already for the process while also promising to soon finish building a mobile app called “IVM Cruise” for the platform. As of the time of writing this report, Innoson’s spokesperson says that the company currently has 200 hatchback vehicles that are already branded for the IVM Connect service.
