After national assembly lawmakers rejected to have indigenous automaker Innoson Motors supply their official cars, the company has not deterred in its effort to support the Nigerian government. Surprisingly, reports have it that Innoson recently donated 3 locally-manufactured operational trucks to the Nigerian police to boost community policing. What a kind gesture, despite being rejected!
Innoson Motors donates 3 operational trucks to the Nigerian police in support of proper community policing
According to reports, these Innoson security trucks were donated to the Nigerian police on Tuesday 25th of August 2020 and they were all produced at the Innoson vehicle manufacturing plant in Nnewi, Anambra state. Also, the donated trucks consist of the SUV MSIII, Pickup truck MSII (Double Cabin), and the Pickup truck MSI (Single Cabin) – all of which are part of the Innoson G12 Series.
These locally-manufactured security vehicles were reportedly presented to representatives of the NPF (Nigeria Police Force) by the CEO of Innoson Motors, Dr Innocent I. Chukwuma who was represented by Mr. Jonas Maduabuchukwu Ojukwu. Top police officials alongside Abdulmajid Ali who represented the DIG of police at the presentation event received the donated vehicles and expressed their gratitude for the kind gesture by Innoson Motors. On receiving the vehicles, Abdulmajid Ali noted that more of such public support undoubtedly help the Nigeria Police to easily meet up with its infrastructural and operational needs. He also mentioned that such gestures will greatly boost the NPF’s ability to adequately fight crimes in the country.
