On November 28th, Infiniti revealed its latest luxury SUV model dubbed as the Infiniti QX50 2018, at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show.

According to the latest car news, the new car comes equipped with the of the brand's first-ever variable compression ratio engine or VC-Turbo. This is an innovative petrol engine which is said to be more beneficial and more environment-friendly than a diesel motor as it doesn’t generate noxious emissions.

Infiniti - a luxury branch of Nissan Motors stated that the new engine is a good combination between the fuel-efficiency of a 4-cylinder diesel and a small turbocharged motor.
With this new and efficient engine, the Infiniti QX50 2018 will run with the power of petrol but get the benefits of diesel performance. The VC-Turbo operates by using a distinctive compression ratio, depending on how the user is driving.

In case the car runs at a lower speed, the engine will get diesel-like fuel-economy. And if the vehicle is at a higher speed, the engine will get a V6 petrol performance.
The VC-Turbo will crank out 268 hp and 380 Nm of torque, delivers 27 mpg and 26 mpg for the front-wheel-drive variants and for all-wheel-drive models respectively. It whirs from 0-60 mph in a neck-snapping 6.3 seconds before topping out at 143 mph.
When it turns to the QX50 design, the all-new luxury model boasts a much more impressive design than its predecessor. Additionally, the cabin is adorned with quilted luxury seats and 2 screens for vehicle controls and satellite navigation system.

Similar to other Nissan and Infiniti models, the all-new Infiniti QX50 2018 is armed with the ProPilot semi-automated driving-support device which can drive the car automatically in stop-and-go traffic and one-way streets.
Recently, Mazda is also making a similar engine for its future models, known as the SkyActiv-X and still, it hasn’t completed yet.
The price tag of the all-new Infiniti QX50 will be about £35,000 and it will officially go on sale in 2018.
