11 Indian students confirmed dead as minibus crashes into mountain gouge

India the highest fatal accidents on record that steal the lives of 135,000 persons annually. Just yesterday, a mini bus conveying students fell into a mountain gouge, leaving 11 students dead while the other nine were badly injured. Check more details below!

Not fewer than 11 students have been reported dead in India after the vehicle conveying them fell into a mountain gouge.

Reports say seven other students also traveling inside the minibus sustained some injuries in the accident. The incident happened in Shopian hill district which is situated in the south side of Kashmir.

According to Mohammad Saleem Malik, a senior administrative official, two students who sustained injury were in a critical condition.

Naijauto learned that the victims were students of a computer training institute located at Surankote town. And they were all between the ages of 20 and 25 with nine being women.

Indian is known to record the highest number of traffic-related death worldwide. Only last week, we reported an accident where 7 children went missing, 22 adults rescued after a vehicle plunged into a canal in Northern Indian.

Government data recorded that 135,000 persons die each year as a result of a road accident. The data revealed that many of the accidents happened in hilly regions, with their causes traced to bad roads, reckless driving, and poorly maintained vehicles.
