It's amazing how donations of vehicles are currently popping up on media headlines recently. Just last week, BUA Foundation donated 20 new vehicles and 5 ambulances to Kano state government as COVID-19 aid. Earlier this week, Dangote Cement PLC donated 25 new operational vehicles to Ogun Security Trust Fund. And now governor Uzodinma is also supporting the judges in Imo state with new cars. This might be the beginning of a new era in Nigeria where we will see both private and government bodies supporting one another for the greater good of the nation.

According to reports, Governor Uzodinma urged the Imo State Judiciary to cooperate more with the legislative and executive arms of the state government to achieve further progress in the state. The governor reportedly mentioned that the 20 new car gifts are meant to motivate the judges to work better. It was also stated in the reports that governor Uzodinma further promised that his administration will ensure improved working conditions and welfare of the judges.

He also assured the judges that he will settle most of the unpaid entitlements of all the retired judges in the state while promising that new retirees should expect all entitlements to be taken care of in less than 2 months after their retirement. This will eventually become the first time such a development will be recorded in the history of Imo state if the governor can keep his words.

Meanwhile, the Imo state is still among the Nigerian states currently battling the spread of the deadly COVID-19 disease after a record of 7 confirmed cases.
