A video currently trending online captured the heartbreaking moment 16 persons got burnt in a recently Lagos fatal crash. The shocking incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday along the Alaro City area of the Epe axis in Lagos State. Press reports revealed that the two vehicles were involved in the fatal road accident and sixteen lives were lost.

Olabisi Sonusi, the Public Education Officer of Lagos FRSC has confirmed this accident in his press statement. He disclosed that the fatal crash occurred at about 3:00 am in the morning of August 2. His statement also blamed impaired visibility resulting from reckless driving as the main cause of the crash. A total of 23 adult males were involved in this accident but only 7 survived. Among the survivors, five suffered varying degrees of injuries and only two victims escaped unscathed.

The PRO of Lagos State FRSC has also confirmed that two vehicles were involved in the recent Epe accident that claimed 16 lives. One of the vehicles is said to be a truck with an unknown registration number. However, the other vehicle was identified as a white bus with plate number KTN 262 YJ. Olusegun Ogungbemide, the sector commander of Lagos FRSC commented on this report by issuing advice to Nigerian motorists. He urged car owners and commercial drivers in Nigeria to generally avoid going on night journeys. The FRSC boss stated that driving at certain dark hours of the day usually causes impaired visibility and possibly fatal accident.
