Well, it is quite heartbreaking that a similar incident also happened last weekend in Ghana. According to press reports, a Bride recently fell into a coma after her groom died in a car crash on his way to their wedding venue.

The Ghanaian groom who was identified as Mohammed Zakaria was a victim of a road accident that happened on the Kumasi-Accra highway on Sunday at Fumesua. The tragic part of the story is that Zakaria lost his life on the same day he was supposed to be married to his partner. A statement released by the Ghanaian police command stated that the groom was accompanied by four of his friends. They were said to be driving a Ford Escape SUV with registration number AS 3222-21, when the accident happened. Zakaria lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a ditch.

As a result of the fatal crash, the Ghanaian groom lost his life right on the spot. The other occupants of the vehicle were taken to KNUST hospital for medical treatment. One of the friends of the deceased suffered a serious injury from the crash and had been transferred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for proper treatment. Naijauto gathered that the Ejisu Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate (MTTD) are already looking into the incident. One might begin to wonder the fate of the bride, especially hearing what befell her husband-to-be on his way to the wedding venue. We learnt the bride is currently in a coma after suffering a traumatic shock upon getting the news. The 40-year-old groom has been buried according to Islamic rites.
