New reports have it that Engineer Seyi Makinde, the executive governor of Oyo State recently donated brand-new vehicles to the Fire Service Agency in the state. These utility vehicles were reportedly presented to the Agency in an effort to equip them with enough resources to effectively fight fire incidents in Oyo State and in line with Governor Makinde’s promise to always prioritize security and safety of citizens.
Oyo State fire service agency receives new utility vehicles from Governor Seyi Makinde to aid with effective fire fighting
Governor Seyi Makinde was reportedly absent in person but rather represented by his S.A on Security during the presentation of the new utility trucks to the Fire Service Agency. The reports stated that Fatai Owoseni, the retired Commissioner of Police mentioned that the vehicle donation is clear evidence that Governor Makinde’s administration is dedicated to fulfilling all promises it makes. He also noted that the current government is even more dedicated to investing in the provision of other valuable resources that will enhance the security and safety of Oyo residents.
In response to the donation, Mr. Abiodun Oni – the Director of Administration and Supply for Oyo State fire service agency appreciated the gesture demonstrated by governor Seyi Makinde ever since he assumed office.
Mr. Oni revealed that the governor had initially put together a separate committee dedicated to upgrading the State’s fire service agency and all the efforts are already becoming a reality now. He further disclosed that Governor Makinde has also approved the procurement of five more firefighting trucks specifically for the Eruwa, Oyo, Molete, and Iseyin fire stations as well as the state’s headquarters too.
