The Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) has begun repairs of the Lagos-Badagry Expressway which motorists and residents have continuously lamented over recently. This was disclosed by Mr Nurudeen Rafindadi, Managing Director of the agency, on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at the commencement of repairs of the dual carriageway in the Okokomaiko-Agbara area at Igbo-Elerin on the expressway.
Rafindadi stated that the contract had been awarded by the government since May 2019. According to him, the government was keen on seeing the Igbo-elerin to Agbara section which was under contract worked on immediately.
“From Eric Moore to this point is being handled by the Lagos State Government. The second section which is the middle section is from this point,” he said.

According to the Managing Director, the third portion of the road covering Agbara down to Seme border was being executed by the Federal Ministry of Works. He further stated that the sum of N3.6 billion was made available for the contract. In conclusion, Rafindadi said that the agency had put measures in place to prevent the rains from obstructing work on the site as we are in the rainy season.
