Police operatives are now looking for an Abuja-based housewife's car that was stolen by carjackers at Kuje
The woman's husband identified as Emmanuel took to Twitter to raise alarm about the disturbing incident. According to the husband’s tweet, the stolen vehicle in question is a gold-coloured Toyota Sienna (2000 model) with number plate ABJ 614 DG. Apparently, the husband did some digging on his own. He revealed that the stolen vehicle is somewhere in Kuje, which means the carjackers are very much around the area. He said his wife didn’t spend much time in the market since she left what she was doing at home to purchase those items at the Forest Market. Emmanuel added that the Toyota Sienna was missing from where she parked it when she came out of the market.
Knowing fully well that the car might have been stolen, the Abuja-based housewife raised an alarm at the spot where she parked it. Her husband disclosed that people around the Kuje area told the woman that they saw some people drive out the vehicle. Despite getting a positive response from the police after tagging them on Twitter, the man said they are yet to reach out to him. He said they had approached the Kuje Divisional Headquarters to make a formal report about the incident. Josephine Edeh, who is the spokesperson for the police command in FCT, confirmed the incident. Edeh revealed that the police are working to recover the vehicle from the carjackers.
