Residents of Dungulbi village in Bauchi state recently witnessed a totally heartbreaking road incident that claimed the lives of three persons. Media reports revealed that two people were injured while 3 others died in the fatal car crash that occurred on Bauchi-Gombe road. The reports confirmed that the horrifying incident happened on Tuesday 21st of September 2021 at a location very close to Dungulbi village in Bauchi state.

Yusuf Abdullahi, the Sector Commander of FRSC (Federal Road Safety Corps) in Bauch state confirmed the details of this fatal accident in a public statement issued on Wednesday, 22nd of September 2021. Abdullahi disclosed that the accident involved a Station Wagon Opel Vectra with registration number DSA 120 AA and a Toyota Hiace commercial bus with registration number GME 74 YX. According to him, a tyre burst was solely responsible for the crash, which led to a head-on collision. He added that the incident took place around 8:32 pm on Tuesday opposite the Muslim burial ground junction.
FRSC personnel were present at the scene to render assistance to the injured victims and ensure free flow of traffic
From what we gathered, the Toyota Hiace bus went up in flames as a result of this collision, while the private vehicle did not suffer any fire incident. The FRSC boss revealed that obstructions have been cleared and the affected vehicles were released to the Motor Transport Department of the Nigerian Police Force. He however urged road users to refrain from excessive speeding, night travels and other unsafe practices that put the lives and properties of other people using the road at great risk.
