Anyone who attends parties in Nigeria will confirm that there are more male compères in the entertainment industry than female ones. This is one reason why it is so painful to hear reports that fast-rising Lagos female compere, MC Eve recently lost her life in a ghastly car crash. MC Eve whose real name is Evelyn Adewunmi is also popularly referred to as the “Energy Goddess” because of her lively nature.

MC Eve’s boyfriend was said to have been driving the car in which the female compère died. Surprisingly, the boyfriend escaped unhurt while MC Eve lost her life in the ghastly crash that reportedly occurred along the popular Lekki-Epe expressway. Media sources claim that the unfortunate incident happened on Tuesday 12th of October 2021 and MC Eve was initially rushed to a private hospital before she eventually gave up the ghost.
The Nigerian entertainment industry will surely miss the super-talented female compere, MC Eve
In case you don’t know, MC Eve used to be an extremely talented event host during her lifetime. She is said to have hosted the glamorous wedding of popular fashion designer, Toyin Lawani. Similarly, MC Eve is said to have worked with big-time Nigerian female celebrities like Mercy Aigbe and Funke Akindele. The talented female compère was also the co-host of the popular TV show “Trending” on EKTV (Ekiti State Television) during her undergraduate days at EKSU. MC Eve’s death is definitely a huge loss to the world of event hosting in Nigeria especially considering the fact that she was such a fine “rising star” whose limelight got cut short by death.
