The Ibadan zonal office of the EFCC also known as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has effected the arrest of 30 youths in Ekiti State suspected to be internet fraudsters, more commonly called Yahoo boys.
Reports reaching Naijauto say the Yahoo boys were arrested at various locations inside Ado-Ekiti city, Ekiti State, following a raid that was carried out in the wee hours of the morning. The operation was as a result of intelligence reports received by the anti-graft agency on the activities of the internet fraudsters.

The reports have it that a lot of people have fallen prey online to these suspected Yahoo boys, who were using their knowledge of the internet to defraud people. The suspects were reported to be between 18 years and 27 years.11 said they were undergraduates while the remaining 19 claimed to be self-employed. The following items were recovered from the Yahoo boys:
- Eight exotic cars
- Laptops
- Mobile phones
- Several documents that are believed to contain the details of their victims.

Reports say the suspects are already cooperating with the operatives by giving out useful informatio,n and that after investigations are rounded up, they will be arraigned before a court.
