Believe it or not, a drunk Lagos driver recently forgot where he parked his boss' car and lied that it was stolen. This report might sound ridiculous at first until you realize that the incident happened this week. Yes, media sources claim that the RRS police were able to recover the abandoned vehicle around Allen Avenue in Ikeja, Lagos State. The vehicle was identified as a 2014 Nissan Altima model and it had been abandoned in the area since last Saturday.

Press reports have also identified the drunk driver as Samuel Lawal, a 43-yrs-old man who resides in the Magodo Estate area of Lagos. He got drunk at the popular Fela Shrine on the night of Saturday, July 30 and forgot his boss’ car at Allen Avenue. It was revealed that the boss actually resides in the Magodo Phase 1 area. So, Lawal initially dropped his boss at home on that Saturday before taking the Nissan car to party in the Fela Shrine area.

The Lagos driver who forgot where he parked his boss’ car has been confirmed to be truly drunk. As a matter of fact, his boss confirmed that the driver is a truthful and hardworking man. This is one reason why the boss was shocked to hear him say that the car was stolen at gunpoint. Fortunately, the boss reported to Lagos RRS police and they were able to trace the car back to Allen Avenue where it was recovered. Press reports claim that the police have now released both the vehicle and the driver.
