According to a report, a man suspected to be a drug suspect was found with drugs and a gun last Monday, where he ended up causing a multiple-car crash that injured many in St. Louis.

From what we learnt so far, the SWAT officers on patrol in St. Louis sighted a vehicle parked from afar at the Speedy Gas Station on the 8800 blocks of North Broadway. This particular location is infamous for drug transactions and gun violence.

The man in question from the local police press release parked close to the pump without getting any fuel. At the time when the police officers attempted to approach the man, he started driving away. When the officers tried to stop him, he stepped on the gas pedal and sped off quickly.
A gun and a large bag containing narcotic capsules were found on the suspect after the crash
Officers around the area were alerted and they tried to use spikes to stop the fleeing car but the man kept driving. However, the officers used the spikes for the second time on the car but the man didn't yield as he kept driving till he ran the red light close to the intersection of Broadway and Taylor.

As a result, the driver got ejected from the vehicle, leading to a six-car accident. From the pictures shared online, we could see that one of the cars involved in this horrific crash actually caught fire. The man was found with a large bag of narcotic capsules and a bag of what appears to be a powdered form of narcotics. The officers also found a gun on him after the crash.
So far, the police cannot really put a figure on the number of people that got injured in the crash. While other people were inflicted with life non-threatening injuries, the suspect was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and eventually died afterwards.
