DPR seals a MRS filling station in Ilorin for using damaged fuel pumps

A big MRS filling station in Ilorin, Kwara State has now been sealed by the DPR for under serving customers with damaged fuel pumps. The authority is still investigating on the case. Read details below!

Naijauto has just gathered that one of the popular MRS filling stations in Ilorin, Kwara state has been placed under seal by the DPR (Department of Petroleum Resources) since Tuesday 5th November 2019 over alleged usage of damaged fuel pump causing under-service to customers.

This particular MRS filling station that was sealed off is said to be located on Ibrahim Taiwo and Wahab Folawiyo road in Ilorin, Kwara State.

Reports have it that the Kwara State DPR Operations Controller, Mr Sule Yusuf ordered that the so-called MRS filling station be sealed off during one of his on-the-spot operations assessment exercise with his team.

When interviewed on this development, Mr Sule Yusuf told the newsmen that the filling station will remain on sealed basis till the proper repair works are carried out on the three damaged fuel pumps that were detected by the DPR out of a total of five gas pumps used for dispensing diesel and petrol.

During the interview, Mr Yusuf notably said that;

“The DPR will continue to ensure that no filling station cheats motorists or consumers and no consumer also cheat filling stations in any part of the state”
