Flamboyant Kogi-West former lawmaker Dino Melaye has welcomed a Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 50th Anniversary Edition to his exotic collection.

If there is one thing no one can dispute, it must be this former Nigerian Senator’s obsession with expensive cars.

His illustrious car collection runs to billions in naira. According to the latest report, Dino Melaye has welcomed a new convertible baby – Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 Roadster to his fleet of luxury cars.

The news of Dino Melaye's new acquisition was first shared on Tunde Ednut's Instagram page

The news of this exotic acquisition was shared by Tunde Ednut, who happens to be one of the biggest social media influencers in Nigeria and also an admirer of the flamboyant politician. He broke this news via his Instagram page.

For a year that has been riddled with series of events, one of which is the raging global pandemic known as the deadly coronavirus, Nigerian celebrities just can't stop buying cars.

Just when we were almost thinking we would end this year with the recent news of Davido’s new Lamborghini Huracan and Olamide’s Lamborghini Aventador, Dino Melaye decided to join the party with what appears to be one of the costliest things he would splash cash on this year.

Not to forget, the former lawmaker from Kogi-West acquired a bulletproof Mercedes G-Wagon and armoured Toyota Land Cruiser worth a combined ₦720m earlier this year.

His Lamborghini Aventador is a limited- edition sports car from the iconic Italian automaker. In 2013, the model was specially built in celebration of the company’s 50th anniversary, with just 100 examples rolled off the production line.

Interestingly, Dino’s own is the fourth on the list of the few units manufactured worldwide.

Dino Melaye’s Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 50th Anniversary Edition is powered by a V12 6.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with a generative output of 710 horsepower. The Italian supercar can sprint from zero to 60 mph in a remarkable 2.9 secs, and a maximum speed of 217 mph.

Dino Melaye has one of the of the expensive collection of cars presently in Nigeria

At the time when the supercar was launched, it went for a base price of $548,000, which excludes the shipping fee and clearing cost in Nigeria. We expect the cost of this limited-only Lamborghini Aventador Anniversary Edition to cost more now since it is on the list of collectors’ most sought-after model.
